The Italian artist Ernestina Gallina gives new meaning to 'pet' rocks.
She gives life to ordinary small rocks and stones by painting strikingly realistic images of animals on them.
Using acrylic paints Ernestina manages to give a flat and cold stone volume
and warmth. The animals are drawn in such detail that it seems they are just about ready to move!
