AMAZING SINKHOLES!

A sinkhole is a depression in the ground that has no natural external surface drainage. They form when water erodes an underlying rock layer. Sinkholes are much more than just holes in the ground. It's a frightening thought to imagine the ground below your feet or house suddenly collapsing and forming a big hole in the ground. Sinkholes rarely happen, but when they strike, tragedy can occur. This is a photo of a sinkhole that occurred in Guatemala... The hole swallowed 2 dozen homes and killed at least 3 people.
