OBAMA AFTER WHITE HOUSE!

President Barack Obama after completing his two terms as US Head of State, will be leaving the White House behind him. Some might say that life is all downhill after having ascended the highest office in the world, yet these pictures suggest that Barack and his family are moving to very nice new pastures indeed. The mansion you are about to see here was built in 1928, has grounds of 8,200 feet and nine bedrooms. This future ex-president's residence, located in the capital Washington D.C., is said to be worth a cool $5.3 million - not too bad for a public servant retiring at the age of 55. Enjoy! :)

This newly leased bricked mansion is located in the Kalorama district of Washington D.C. Even though it is right by the road side, the grounds are gated and private. The driveway contains enough space for Secret Service cars to park. The gas lanterns at the entrance are fake - not surprisingly. Taking a walk through the entrance, you may feel yourself back in the roaring twenties. The living room manages to be both stately and cozy. The grand fireplace and mantle provide a traditional charm. There are many seating areas for guests. Large windows fill the family room with light from the garden. Downstairs is another sitting room, ideal for long term guests.

The kitchen is spacious and bright, fit for preparing meals suitable for the most eminent people. Despite the price, this kitchen feels quite homey. There is a rather large, separate dining room located next to the kitchen. This is the master suite Which also has its own dressing room And cozy study With a good-sized bathroom, too. The house contains nine bedrooms in all. Could this be the study where Mr. Obama will compose his presidential memoirs? The basement has a laundry room which also serves as a second kitchen. The garden affords plenty of space for relaxing and taking in the sun, while reading the daily news.
