SHANGRALA'S

LEGO CHURCH!

      Computer programmer Amy Hughes built a fantastically detailed 7 feet by 5 1/2 feet by 30 inches miniature church out of LEGO, called the Abston Church of Christ. Why Abston? That's because LEGO is made out of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS).

Shangrala's Lego Church
      It took her over a year to build the church. It has more than 75,000 pieces, 1,372 little LEGO people, and 3,976 windows.

      The church features a balcony, a Narthex, stairs to the balcony, restrooms, coat rooms, several mosaics, a nave, a baptistery, an altar, a crucifix, a pulpit and an elaborate pipe organ.

      The church has hundreds of tiny Lego people sitting in it including a front row of custom selected Legos that represent real people who 'attended' the dedication.
