IN A BLINK OF AN EYE!

 Who, if our Internet connection would die,
Would forget we exist in the blink of an eye?
Caught in the moment, we keep coming here.
Addicted to laughter we can't even hear.

We travel the world of electronic dreams,
Where nothing is exactly the way that it seems.
People will fool you in the blink of an eye.
Nobody will see as you sit here and cry.

Hearts will be broken and hopes will be lost.
In the blink of an eye we can measure the cost.
Sadness will rule where anger is king.
When compassion is gone you have lost everything.

Your net world can end in the blink of an eye.
The plans that you've made will wither and die.
You soon are forgotten as life moves along.
In the blink of an eye, you no longer belong.

I beg your pardon but I must interject
Just a little more wisdom about our Internet.
So here are my thoughts I want you to see
It'll just take a moment so be patient with me.

In the blink of an eye, you no longer belong?
This picture somehow to me seems totally wrong
So let us see what might really be the truth.
In a blink of an eye the electricity sleuth,

Sees all the computer connections and lines,
That race through each house biding their time.
Each are unique and most wondrously fed.
In a blink of an eye you or I may be dead,

But the clicking of our dreams emitted as hopes
Still remain on in the chain of our computer hosts.
This then becomes our legacy that simply won't die
But'll continue with each blink of a computer's eye.
