SHANGRALA'S

COPS SAVING THE DAY!

A police officer's job is to serve the public by helping out and keeping us safe. Sometimes, cops go above and beyond their line of duty.

Here Are A Few Of Those Times. Enjoy! :)
Shangrala's Cops Saving The Day
Birthdays are an important part of every kid's childhood, and a great memory they take with them for their entire life.
But for one little boy, his special day almost became a disaster - until the local police saved the day. And thanks to the kindness of the police officers, the kid received a birthday he will never forget.
Glenn Buratti is a little boy from St. Cloud, Florida. He suffers from epilepsy and mild autism. But like any other child, he waited anxiously for his birthday. His mother, Ashley, invited 16 of his classmates to a party to celebrate his special day with him.
But when that big day arrived, no one came. Glenn was crushed, and his mother turned to Facebook to express her frustration. "I know this might be something silly to get upset about, but my heart is broken because of my son", she wrote on Facebook. "He keeps asking when will my friends come".

It wasn't long that her post reached the sheriff of the county. A short time later, police and fire personnel arrived to Glenn's birthday party together with their children.

"Glen just smiled and waved to us all the time",
his mom, Ashley, told CBS news. "It was amazing"

"The people who came were just amazing", Ashley added.

This Gives Hope To Humanity,
And So Does Our Next Story...

Officer Hurst and other police officers were called to a neighborhood in Savannah, Georgia, after reports of a one-and-a-half-year-old toddler walking alone in the streets were received.

He said, "The boy, being so young, was in trauma and hysteria, crying, he howled, and I asked the hospital staff if I could hold him to try to comfort and calm him so he could continue to receive medical treatment, Then I stood up and he slept on my chest, and with all the equipment I had, it was heavy for me to keep this little boy, so that was the moment I decided to sit on the bed so that he and I would have an easier time".
The toddler is now in a safe place and in good health with Georgia's welfare authorities. It won't be long before he finds a warm and loving home.
As for Hurst, he doesn't think he did anything special or unusual when he said, "That's what we do, every day, not only me, but other 600 police officers in this department, much more than chasing bad people. To serve the public and the communities and to do what they need you to do".

Our next story is a hearwarming one too...

Outside of Los Angeles, the Montebello police received a call about a problematic customer.

Officer Robert Josett didn't know what to expect at a local bank branch. The crew alerted him of a 92-year-old angry customer.
The policeman could have handled this incident within 5 minutes considering the age of the person involved, but instead he took the time and to show respect and compassion to the elderly man.
All the man wanted to do was to withdraw some money from his account. But because his ID card had expired, no one in the bank could help him. Without a valid ID, the bank couldn't complete the process of withdrawing money for the old client.
The old man did not understand why and became frustrated and angry. In the end, the bank staff called the police to help get the man out of the bank.

When Officer Josett arrived at the scene and learned about what happened, he decided to do something unconventional. He knew he had to intervene and although it was fine to just accompany the man out, he chose to do something else.
Officer Josett took the old man to the DMV office and helped him get a brand new ID card. But his good deed didn't end there.

The officer took the man back to the bank and escorted him inside so that he could withdraw his money.
The old man only had to be treated with courtesy and patience. Officer Josett showed him both of them and became his guardian angel.
We must not forget the good things police officers do every day without asking or telling them. This is just another wonderful example of this.
