LimaOhio.com: eSight, a company in Ottawa,
developed glasses that enabled a legally blind boy in Lima, Ohio to get his one
and only wish for Christmas.
9-year-old Kenyon Kill, who has been legally blind since birth, wanted to
be able to see. He was curious about what the gorilla at the zoo
looked like as well as a real lion. He wanted to see his 7-year-old sister
Carolina's brown hair, the smile of his mother, Kris, and the goofy faces
his father, Frank, likes to make. And there were those basketball
games he really yearned to be able to watch - not just attend - a Lima
Central Catholic basketball game coached by his Dad.
Kenyon wanted to see all the beautiful things so many of us take for granted.
His Christmas Miracle blessing came true with the arrival of a pair of special glasses
from eSight, a Canadian company that is opening up a whole new world for the
visually impaired.
Thanks to a pair of 'miracle glasses' and a portable computer he can wear
around his waist, Kenyon is able to see with 20/20 clear vision the smiles
of his sister, Carolina, his dad, Frank, and his mom, Kris, for the very
first time in his life.
Kenyon, has been legally blind since birth, only able to make out shapes
of objects, but now he can see what he has been missing all his life.
