AMAZING BELGIAN MALINOIS!

This dog is often mistaken for a small German Shepherd but the Belgian Malinois (pronounced mal-in-wah) is a distinct breed. His native country of Belgium is home to four herding breeds. The Malinois is the short-haired variety.       He is a medium-size dog with a protective personality and, among other things, has proven adept at police work. This breed's strong tracking skills make the Malinois a popular choice for police, military, and search and rescue work. Many of these dogs were used in World War I. A Belgian Malinois dog named Cairo was part of a four Navy SEALs team that closed off the perimeter of Osama Bin Laden's house in the raid that ultimately killed him.       The Belgian Malinois is actually a quite wise, obedient canine breed. They are all-natural protectors, but they're shy and sensitive at the exact same time. These dogs are also loyal and watchful of almost everything that goes on.
