BABES IN CHRIST!

BABES IN CHRIST by emb

Do you know people that go to church who call themselves Christians, but act like they aren't saved - one of God's Chosen elect few? Ever have some backstab you or name call you or just be mean to you and hurt your feelings? Have you seen men in the news - even ones who are supposed to be men of God, ministers who do monstrous things? Steal, rape, molest, murder? Do you wonder how they could do such things since they are supposed to be a Christian?

If indeed they are a Christian, their Problem is they have not Renewed their mind to the Word Of God. They are what the bible calls Babes in Christ.

In the book of Romans 12:2:
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Being a Christian with God In Christ In You does not automatically make you a good person knowing and doing God's will. A newly saved individual is considered a babe or baby in Christ.

1 Cor.3:2
"I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able."

Heb.5:13
"For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe."

And Also

1 Pet.2:2
"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:"

Being a babe in Christ, we are told to renew our mind and grow with the word Of God. One of the main things we are told to do is put on charity which is the Love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation.

1 Cor.13:1-13
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."

I Cor.16:14
"Let all your things be done with charity."

Col.3:14
"And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness."

ABOVE ALL Things we are told to put on Charity - the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation... and one of the reasons why is here:

Rom.14:19
"Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

We want to edify or build up each other in the church - members of the body of Christ.

1 Cor.10:23
"All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not."

We are born again of God's Seed of eternal life and all hell cannot stop us from going to heaven - Jesus Christ paid the price for us - He was the end of the law. He made "ALL THINGS LAWFUL" for us - nothing we can say or do after we are born again is going to be unlawful or send us to hell because of Jesus Christ.

"NOT ALL THINGS Are EXPEDIENT" - meaning it is not good as Christians to be say falling down drunk in public as it is not expedient - not a good witness for others of how Christians are - and it isn't unlawful for Christians to Back Bite and be name callers and be mean toward fellow Christians (won't take away their eternal life) BUT it does NOT EDIFY - and IF You do Not Edify one another, YOU ARE Going against God - and what person in their right mind wants to go against GOD? That's just plain STUPID!

We need to renew our mind to the Word of God, put on Charity and edify each other as that is the perfect Will of God our Father whom we love and whom loves us!

Those who DO NOT do this are simply NOT doing God's Word and have not renewed their mind to God's Will. They are not living in the power of God for they are against God. Anyone Not Doing the Will of God is against God ... Being Stupid.

So we ask God to help these stupid people Grow Up In Christ. As my school teacher used to say , "Consider the source and let it go" ... They are still Babes in Christ, Not Renewing their mind so we ask God to help them and we go on.

It has been a Christian problem since biblical times.

Heb.5:12
"For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat."

Here they were being reproved for not growing up and still needing the milk of God's Word like a baby instead of eatting the meat and being actual teachers.

I hope this helps you to feel better and to understand, it is not ALL Christians, just the babes ... That need to Grown Up!
